A new steak and seafood restaurant has opened at the corner of Main St. and 11mile rd. in Royal Oak! Taking the place of the old Diablo’s Cantina, Diamond’s Steak and Seafood is a cozy and delicious new addition to the city.
The cocktail, wine, and beer menu is great! Try the Plum Cosmo it’s the perfect balance of sweet and sour without being cloyingly so.
The meal starts with delicious multi-grain bread and Cinnamon Butter. The butter is amazing, and you’ll want a second loaf but save room for the meal to come!
For apps we chose the Waygu Beef Carpaccio and Cheasapeake Bay Crab Cakes. The Waygu beef is served with shaved fennel, marcona almonds, celery, pickled onion, and lemon. This dish is served cold and has a vibrant and bright flavor. The textures together were perfect. The Crab Cakes may have been our favorite, make sure to use the lobster cream dipping sauce!
For our main entree we chose the Filet Mignon and Signature ribeye. From their menu: all steaks are responsibly farmed, aged for at least 28 days, seasoned and broiled at 1200 degrees. They’re served with either the smashed potatoes (SO GOOD) or green beans. The meat was delicious. Cooked to perfection and tender and juicy. If you are looking for a great steak, you won’t go wrong here.
We barely had room for dessert but wanted to try Diamond’s Famous Carrot Cake. This is a decadent and delicious dessert. The frosting is amazing and it’s a great dessert to share!
We can’t wait to visit again and try the rest of the menu!
