We’ve had a few opportunities to dine at Royal Oak’s Bistro 82 and we always leave happy, full, and a little more knowledgable about the food we ate.
Bistro 82 has a cool modern vibe and a menu that will please everyone. The service here is excellent. Ask questions about the menu and the servers will guide you through the dishes and share the night’s specials. I’ve never been disappointed by one of their recommendations!
Take a peek at what we ate during our last visit!
The EPI bread was a table favorite and a great way to start your meal. Bread is baked fresh everyday and served with house cultured butter
If you are interested in sea food Bistro 82 has a delicious selection. We tried the Scallop Carpaccio and Oysters Du Jour
We moved on from the raw seafood to some very hot and very delicious appetizers. Everyone went crazy over the French Onion Soup Dumplings. Tons of melty white cheddar topped these delicious dumplings and everyone wanted more!
Vegetarians and meat eaters alike will love the sticky and slightly sweet Orange Cauliflower appetizer. This was another favorite at the table!
One of my favorite items on the menu is the Goat Cheese Salad. Below is an older photo and the plating was different during my most recent visit but the taste was still the same … AMAZING.
For my main course I always order the Filet Mignon. This plate was updated from my last visit and is now served with duchess potato and brocollini. The filet was still amazing, and after checking with the chef, we confirmed this particular cut of meat is Halal. I ordered medium rare and it was cooked and served perfectly.
Don’t skimp on dessert! We love beignets and the apple crisp!!
Bistro 82 was also Hour Detroit’s Restaurant of the Year in 2017!
