Girls Gone Hungry does Friendsgiving with The Honey Baked Ham Company: 5 Tips For a Stress Free Party!

We love spending time with friends around the holidays. Friendsgiving is a great way to get together with your besties before the crazy and busy holiday season begins! We partnered with The Honey Baked Ham company to plan an easy get together with friends at home! Use our 5 tips for a stress free and delicious party!

SKIP THE COOKING

The easiest way to take full advantage of time with friends is skip the cooking and let The Honey Baked Ham Company do the cooking for you! They have amazing options like their classic bone-in ham honey baked ham, honey baked turkey breast, and honey baked boneless ham. We always choose the bone-in Honey Baked Ham. We love the sweet and crunchy glaze and beautiful spiral cut presentation! We paired our ham with their classic heat and serve sides: mashed potatoes, stuffing, and green bean casserole! The meal comes together so easily and let us spend extra time with our guests.

We are always WOWed by how amazing our Honey Baked Ham looks on the table!
Green Bean Casserole is a fan favorite. We order this every time and it never disappoints!
It isn’t a party without mashed potatoes!
Our friends all agreed, this was some of the best stuffing we’ve ever tried. It crisped up PERFECTLY in the oven.

SKIP THE DISHES

You can still have a beautiful tablescape without expensive dishes. We picked up these lovely paper plates and disposable utensils with matching napkins. Our table looked beautiful and clean up was SO easy. Another tip we use is to figure out where all your serving dishes will go ahead of time. That way when the food is ready everything already has a spot and getting everything on the table is a cinch! This means more time with your friends and less time cleaning! YES!

We loves these paper plates and utensils we found for just a few dollars. Add a few small pumpkins, apples, and flowers for a festive fall table!
Setting everything ahead of time, including your serving dishes makes getting the food to the table extra easy!

MAKE A BOOZY PUNCH

We love making punch for larger gatherings. Preparing individual cocktails for everyone can take up a lot of time. A punch is easy to make and your guests can serve themselves. We loved this sparkling cranberry and orange punch. The tart flavor complimented the sweet and crunchy ham perfectly! Here is the recipe we used:

1 Bottle Cranberry Juice

2 Bottles Champagne

1/2 bottle of Orange Juice

1/2 bottle Sprite

Clementine Oranges for garnish

Pour everything together and add ice and oranges. So easy and delicious!

This punch is tart and refreshing and paired perfectly with our meal!

This recipe fills a large punch bowl and serves up to 10!

B.Y.O.T

Let’s be honest, we aren’t in our 20’s anymore and we don’t ask our guests to bring their own beer. But we don’t mind asking them to bring their own Tupperware! This makes sending everyone home with leftovers easy and trust us – these are delicious leftovers! You can find our amazing fried ham sandwich we made with last year’s recipes HERE

Friends don’t let Friends waste leftovers.

DON’T FORGET DESSERT

No party is complete without dessert. Luckily,The Honey Baked Ham Company doesn’t skimp on their decadent dessert offerings. We chose a more traditional Pecan Pie and a party pleaser Cheese Cake Sampler. We had something for everyone’s taste and it was the perfect end to our meal!

So much deliciousness in one photo!
