Girls Gone Hungry

Girls Gone Hungry Does The ‘BURBS Vol. 4

We’re back! We hope everyone had a great holiday season and enjoyed some of our December Giveaways! We had a ton of fun putting them together and we will definitely plan some more soon! Let us know what places you’d love to win a gift card from.

So this past week I discovered a new fast casual stirfry spot in Royal Oak, treated myself to some cookies, and washed it all down with Bubble Tea!

My first stop was Vera Asia, a new stir fry fast/casual spot in downtown Royal Oak. It’s like Chipotle but with delicious asian flavors. I’ve already gone twice this week and I’m pretty hooked. You can choose from familiar favorites like Orange Chicken or Kung Pao or create your own bowl from scratch. For your base you can choose from rice or noodles. For protein they have chicken, beef, shrimp, or 2 types of Tofu. Next, load up on veggies and choose your sauce. They cook everything to order and also have sushi! So far I have tried the Thai Spicy Red Curry sauce and the Tokyo Sweet Teriyaki. I loved both!

Don’t forget to put an egg on it! I’m legit hooked to these delicious stir fry bowls.

Next up, I decided to satisfy my sweet tooth for the week with some cookies from Detroit Cookie Co. This adorable cookie shop is in Ferndale and one of my favorite places to stop for treats. Everyone who works there is so nice and the cookie selection is AMAZING! Sometimes I wonder if anyone sees me taking cookie photos in front of it’s colorful walls and thinks I’m crazy, who cares though!

These Jumbo Chocolate Chip Cookies are my favorite
Peanut Butter Volcano cookies for all the peanut butter lovers in the world
This Chocolate S’mores Cookie was divine

To wash everything down this week I stopped at Detroit Bubble Tea Company in Ferndale. I love this place because they have a ton of tea and smoothie options. I also enjoy seeing how inclusive it is, there are always lots of kids studying or playing games when I visit. It just gives me a great community vibe. AND during my last visit I noticed they were carrying Detroit Cookie Co cookies – BONUS!

I love how pretty my drinks are from Detroit Bubble Tea
