The best part of Christmas in Detroit is … Christmas lights! We are on a mission to find the best holiday dining and cocktails spots in the city with dreamy Christmas lights, decorations, and that magical holiday feeling!
Igloo Dining at Lumen
Get the holidays started with a magical meal in one of Lumen’s outdoor Igloos! Igloos are first come first serve, but if you arrive and an igloo isn’t available add your name to the list and grab a seat at the bar! Each Igloo has its own theme, heaters to keep you warm, and festive lights for a magical glow! We are currently loving their Hibiscus Margarita, it’s a gorgeous drink and so delicious!
Cadillac Lodge near Campus Martius
Cadillac Lodge near Campus Martius was one of our favorite spots to enjoy the holiday season downtown last year! We are so excited it’s back and just as cozy and festive as ever. Enjoy seasonal drinks, food, and all the pop-up shops outside the lodge. If you were already heading to Campus Martius to see the tree, you’ll find Cadillac Lodge directly across the street! The menu this year will be by Parc restaurant. We love the lights, the cozy seating, and having a great space to meet with friends.
Cadillac Lodge hours are 4-10 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 11 a.m.-midnight Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday.
The Capitol Inn at Capitol Park
Capitol Park is another Detroit location that is hosting pop-up shops and a cozy tented winter beer garden. They’re serving gourmet bar snacks, festive cocktails as well as Munich-inspired beer and wine! Outside find lots of beautiful lights and more holiday decor. You’ll love this piece of holiday magic in the middle of the city!
Miracle at The Skip
If you are looking for tasty holiday cocktails down a cozy and well lit Detroit Alley, then you are looking for Miracle at The Skip! The Skip Bar will be a magical Christmas-themed wonderland until December 24th! You’ll find drinks like the Snowball Old Fashioned (gingerbread bourbon, wormwood bitters, lemon zest), the How The Gimlet Stole Christmas (gin, sage, pine and caraway cordial), and the Run Run Rudolph (blanco tequila, coffee liqueur, iced hot chocolate, Mexican spices). Drinks are served in special Miracle glassware for extra holiday cheer!
Miracle at Park Bar
