Greektown Casino Opens New Food Hall :: Monroe Market & Noodle Art

Detroit’s Greektown Casino is causing a stir with the opening of a new food court named Monroe Market this Tuesday, May 1st. The space will be home to six casual dining counters as well as a ramen bar called Noodle Art. Many of the restaurants offer the ability to customize and pay for orders using touchscreen kiosks. We were given a sneak peak of the market this week and we’re already obsessed!

How does an Impossible cheese burger served on a GLAZED DONUT bun and topped with an egg sound? Fabulous? We thought so to! This is one of the concoctions you can dream up at American Burger Bar.

American Burger Bar is one of the few locations you can find the Impossible Burger in Detroit.
Love a nicely branded burger bun.
In love with the living wall in the back.

Basil Leaf Pizza is a rustic Italian eatery focused on made to order Neapolitan pizza. We grabbed a slice of the margherita pie. It was delicious!

This crust tho.
Yes, those are chicken wings!
…here’s a closer look.

Did you think you’d run into an Airstream-style trailer inside the casino? That’s what houses the barbecue joint Pit Boss. Pulled pork, chicken, brisket, ribs – Pit Boss will make your bbq dream comes true.

Airstream for the win!
So fun to have a bbq option in the casino!

Tia Loca provides Mexican street fare options. From walking tacos to a hellfire burrito, this place has it all.

Doritos, beef picadillo, jack cheese fundido, jalapenos,  and chiptole lime crema.
Another Detroit spot to get your taco fix.

Southern Fry is where Detroit meets the South. Here you’ll find southern favorites like crispy fried chicken, collard greens, and biscuits and honey.

Can you see yourself ending a night out with crispy fried chicken?
Check out this delicious spread!

Noodle Art stands out in the midst of the counter top restaurants. Housed in a glass enclosed space with a round bar, it is the only option with it’s own sit down restaurant. Here you’ll find Japanese ramen with a Detroit twist.

Loving the industrial and futuristic look of Noodle Art!
Gyudon: miso-mustard beef short rib, kimchi, bok choy, brushed wasabi peas, mushroom fried rice.
Vodka and blueberry <3

Final thoughts: We love the concept of Monroe Market!  After a night out you can stop by with a group of friends and everyone will leave happy. There’s something for all food types, even vegans! We’d love to hear your thoughts! Leave a comment to let us know what you think!
