Detroit’s new rooftop bar The Monarch Club has panoramic views of the city skyline that take your breath away. Perched at the top of the new Element Hotel it has multiple terraces each with a different view of the city. We were so excited to check out this new space and it did not disappoint. In addition to gorgeous outdoor seating and views you’ll also find a cozy and intimate bar w/ more seating inside. The Monarch Club also offers a fantastic cocktail menu and shared plates.
My favorite view is the outlook over Woodward – you can see Comerica Park, Ford Field, the Fox Theater and more. Find a seat at one of the tables or around the multiple fire pits.
We made sure to try a few different cocktails and wines. The cocktail menu is extensive and everyone should be able to find a drink they’ll enjoy.
We also had to try some of the shareable plates. The food was delicious. The only vegetarian option we could find was the Cauliflower, but you may be able to order the flatbread without meat. Everything we ordered was so good – I don’t think I could pick a favorite.
This is a definite must visit your next time downtown! You can’t beat the views or the drink and food menu.
