Detroit has some amazing new places to eat but none seem to have the same character, spirit or charm as Rose’s Fine Foods. I have been drooling over my foodie friends’ photos of the meals from here and I finally got to stop in for a super quick bite. I’m waiting to try the actual food until G and J can accompany me, but this homemade Black Forest Cake and Vernors hit the spot. The mismatched plates and paper straws are just some of the tiny touches that add to the coziness and warmth of this diner. Rose’s makes everything from scratch and is committed to the community it calls home. They use locally grown produce for all of their dishes and you can taste the love in each bite.
