There are few things I love more in life than a staycation. To indulge oneself in all the finest amenities and luxurious accommodations at a nearby hotel is the ultimate treat! The Doubletree Hilton in Bloomfield Hills checks off every box on my staycation wishlist.

Located a short drive from downtown Detroit, this hotel provides big city, luxury vibes, minus the headache of travel. The swank lobby lounge is adorned with velvet couches, glowing chandelier orbs, and a large red piano. The hotel bar, named The Duke, is a cozy mixture of mid-century design, and warm, inviting lighting. Fantastic food and drink can all be found without ever having to leave the Doubletree Hilton!

The hotel lounge is the perfect place to sit and enjoy a drink or quiet conversation. You’ll feel like you’ve been transported to Vegas instead of Michigan!

You’ll find cozy seating throughout the Doubletree Hilton. Perfect for reading a book, working on your laptop, or chatting with friends.

We had the amazing opportunity to stay in the Presidential suite, a beautiful room located on the 3rd floor with a dining room, kitchen, living room, vanity area, plus ample beds and bathrooms! Marble Countertops and floors, a velvet couch in the living room, and a kitchen equipped with a full fridge, wine glasses, sink, coffee pot, microwave and MORE made the room feel EXTRA special. All rooms come with top of the line toiletries, bedding, coffee pot, desk, and sitting chair. You’ll have no problem relaxing during your stay!

I loved the toiletries provided! Makeup wipes, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, and shower cap! Perfect for packing light for a weekend stay

Besides the wonderful rooms and lobby you have to make sure to indulge in the food and drink located at the hotel. Enjoy Breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Zalman’s Deli. This cozy restaurant offers the most delicious food and relaxing atmosphere. The menu is packed with hearty sandwiches, soups, breakfast plates, and desserts. We were swooning over the food and decor BIG TIME.

Okay, stop. How cozy and inviting is the inside of Zalman’s Diner.
I love everything about this dining space! Our server told us it’s a popular place for business meetings and also the perfect spot to grab lunch and set up your laptop for a few hours of work!

Besides this old school diner vibe you will FALL IN LOVE with the food. I tried a huge deli sandwich, soup, and their hand cut fries. They were so delicious! They also had a great veggie sandwich option for all of our vegetarian friends. The food here is so good you’ll definitely want to visit again, even when not staying at the hotel!

I ordered the Little Z and it is ANYTHING BUT little! Topped with Roasted turkey or roast beef, roasted red peppers, Muenster, lettuce, tomato, mayo and multigrain.

These were the best bagel chips and hummus I’ve had!
Don’t pass up their house made soups! This tomato soup with a drizzle of olive oil was great!
If these seasonal Sweet Potato Fritters served over marshmallow fluff are on the menu YOU MUST TRY THEM! These were soooooooo good! Marshmallow fluff should be served with every dessert!

Now that we’ve eaten, a cocktail perhaps? The Duke Lounge serves superior drinks and small bites. Not only are they lovely to look at it, they tasted fantastic.

After our final drink we decided we wanted to take a quick dip in the hotel hot tub. They have a great pool area that we had all to ourselves!
