We ventured out to Troy last week to try some amazing Poke from Pokeworks on Big Beaver!
If you’ve never tried Poke before (pronounced poh-kay), it usually consists of diced raw fish and comes from Hawaii! Mix it in a bowl with rice, toppings, crunchies and a delicious sauce and you have the popular Poke Bowl! Pokeworks in Troy focuses on serving high-quality, healthy food in a convenient and responsible way. Their flavors definitely did NOT disappoint! You can order your Poke in a bowl, burrito, or salad!
We tried a variety of bowls and burritos. You can customize your Poke to your exact taste or try one of their popular signature works!
First thing we tried was the Signature HAWAIIAN CLASSIC bowl. Made with ahi tuna – green and sweet onion – ogo seaweed – cucumber – chili flakes – sesame seeds – roasted sesame oil – hawaiian salt and pokeworks classic sauce. This bowl was spicy and sweet, one of my favorite flavor combos!
Next up we had to order something all of our vegetarian friends could try! This is the SWEET CHILI TOFU made with organic tofu – blanched kale – green and sweet onion – cucumber – edamame – sesame seeds – sweet chili gochujang sauce!
Last we made a custom bowl with honestly too many awesome ingredients to even try to list! Look at how pretty it turned out?! Make your own Poke by choosing a base which can either be a bowl, burrito, or salad. Then choose your protein, mix-ins, toppings, crunch and sauce!
For all of our Sushi Burrito lovers – Pokeworks has you covered! Check out this bomb looking sushi burrito!
A customer favorite are these tasty little spam musubis! They are so cute and so delicious!
For dessert we tried the Dole Whips! These are SO GOOD. You have to try one! They’re sweet and spicy and just slightly salty! It’s a great flavor mix!
